Apptega is a cybersecurity and compliance management platform that helps companies streamline their compliance processes. I was heavily involved in shaping their user experience by conducting multiple UX workshops and exploration sessions, setting up user flows, creating major wireframes and iterations, and developing both wireframe and high-fidelity prototypes. Additionally, I established their entire Design System and managed all Design Documentation to ensure consistency and scalability across the platform.
Brief
Upgrade the existing platform's UX, while helping to transition the existing codebase from legacy, to a new format.The platform itself will need upgrading, due to business and client requirements
Challenges
The intricacies of cybersecurity compliance, was probably my biggest challenge, as I needed to cater for designs that span across the multiple frameworks.We also came up with a new solution for setting up templates to be reused by partners of the platform, to make client onboarding way easier and reduce manual and redundant tasks.
Methodologies
Deconstruction: Simplified Apptega’s platform by focusing on its fundamental components, creating a comprehensive design ecosystem that covered all departments, products, and future feature plans.
User Testing & Research: Conducted user interviews and testing of real-life demo sessions using both low and high-fidelity design prototypes. This process involved both quantitative and qualitative research to inform design decisions.
Design System Approach: Followed a design system-guided approach for high-fidelity prototypes, ensuring consistency across the platform while maintaining scalability.
Workshop-Driven Process: Leveraged workshop-driven internal processes to foster collaboration, driving iterative improvements and alignment with the platform's goals.
Results
The project is still ongoing, but post initial user interviews, the feedback and potential impact of the updates will be extremely useful. This leads me to expect a great adoption rate and scalable usage of the platform
